(Washington, DC)  —  It turns out last week’s security scare at the Pentagon really did involve bomb-making materials.  In announcing new charges against Yonathon Melaku yesterday, U.S. Attorney Neil MacBride said ammonium nitrate was found in the Marine reservist’s backpack–the same chemical used in the Oklahoma City bombing incident.  The new charges are related to the potshots taken at the Pentagon, the Marine Corps Museum and a recruiting office last fall.  Melaku remains jailed in Loudoun County on unrelated charges.
